There is no better time of year to light a fire in the hearth and settle into a comfortable chair with a dram of whisky than winter. The recent storm provided a great opportunity to do just this. Tis the season to drink whisky. I’d like to wish all those whisky fans out there happy holdiays. Pour yourself a dram of your favorite spirit and celebrate with the ones you love.

I’d like to invite all my loyal readers to join me for a complimentary whisky tasting at Julio’s in Westborough, Massachusetts. I will be offering samples of the entire Douglas Laing portfolio. Don’t miss this chance to talk and taste whisky with whisky power couple Brandall (myself and Randall Bird).

Final days, arriving at Drummuir Castle to unwind before the journey back across the pond home.

After checking in at the castle, I stretched my legs with a walk around the castle grounds. This shot is of some of the many types of Thistle growing wildy around Drummuir.

I also stumbled across these wild red raspberries. They were slightly tart; magic.
